DOES MASTURBATING MEAN MY PARTNER IS NOT ABLE TO SATISFY ME SEXUALLY?
September 2022
No, on the contrary.
A recent study (2020) done among 18 to 89 year old Norwegians found that women who have a higher frequency of partnered sex are more likely to masturbate and have a higher sexual satisfaction. In the field of sexology this is called a ‘complementary pattern’. However, it does work differently for men. They fall into the ‘compensatory pattern’ where masturbation decreases when they have satisfying and frequent sex with a partner.
This means that if you feel the need to have a bit of fun on your own it indicates your sex life is on point.
